For me, it was both.
At 24, I had already built my first startup, an exhilarating ride that taught me what it meant to create, build, and chase impact. But deep down, I wanted something more meaningful. Something that wasn’t just about business but also about connection, purpose and real change.
Alan had been by my side for years.
Alan isn’t just my dog. He was the one who made me fall in love with all dogs and animals. He showed me a form of love, that I’d never seen before. I always felt, more than just care, he deserves comfort and dignity.
But as a pet parent, I saw something missing.
Despite the booming pet industry, no single brand was dedicated to creating high-quality, functional, and conscious apparel and accessories for dogs, especially in India. It felt like an obvious gap, a problem waiting to be solved.
So I asked myself: Why not build it?
That’s how Paaplu was born.

Paaplu is an abstract word, that evokes joy, playfulness and love. A blend of how dogs are, and how we feel about them.

A moment that shattered me.
We once adopted a pup - Casper, he was tiny, vulnerable, and full of life. In just a week, he fell gravely ill and passed away. Yet, that one week felt like years. His absence left a void, but it also left me with a promise, a quiet, unwavering vow that I would do something to impact the lives of homeless dogs and animals.
So, this became another facet of Paaplu.
We are working on initiatives that positively impact homeless dogs and animals.
Paaplu is more than just a brand, it’s a movement towards better pet care, deeper love, and a world where every dog feels at home.
